Bashundhara Cement To Be Used For Metro Rail, Kalna Bridge Projects

Bashundhara cement will be used in the country’s first Metro Rail project and in the construction of Kalna Bridge over Madhumati River in Gopalganj.

In this regard, Bashundhara Industrial Limited (producer of Bashundhara cement) on Sunday signed two joint-venture agreements with Tekken-Abdul Monem Limited Abenikko and Tekken-Abdul Monem Limited-YBC.

Under the deal, Bashundhara Industrial Limited will provide cement for the respective projects.
Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir and Abdul Monem Limited (AML) Chairman Abdul Monem signed the contracts on behalf of their respective organisations.

AML Chairman Abdul Monem is the contractor for the Metro Rail CP-5 and Kalna Bridge projects.

Metro Rail Project-5 Director Tsuyoshi Nishimura and Kalna Bridge Deputy Project Director Hiromi Taykenochi were present at the signing ceremony held at Abdul Monem Group head office in the capital.

As per the contract, Bashundhara Group will provide 1.5 lakh tonnes of cement to Metro Rail project and 50,000 tonnes for the construction of 690-meter long Kalna Bridge.

On the occasion, Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir said: “Bashundhara and Abdul Monem Group are like members of a family. I wish every success of the projects.”

Among others, AML Chairman Abdul Monem, Deputy Managing Directors Moinuddin Monem and Mohiuddin Monem, Director Farhana Monem, Construction Directors Abid Habib, AKM Akhtaruzzaman, CP-5 Project Director Fazle Monem, Kalna Bridge Project Director Mahmud Hossain and Tekken Corporation Administrative Manager Masahiro Imagusi, Construct Specialist Mark Macgibon, Bashundhara Group Chief Marketing Officer Khandaker Kingshuk Hossain, Deputy General Manager Mahmudul Hassan and Assistant General Manager Ashikur Rahman Ashik were present at the signing ceremony.
